Unfortunate reality
Covid19 is the unfortunate reality of today. Many brave doctors and nurses are on the front-line fighting the pandemic by treating patients who have severe symptoms of the virus.
Due to the highly contagious nature of the virus, all medical staff must wear protective clothing to prevent getting infected. Part of the safety uniform is safety goggles because the virus can enter your system through your eyes, mouth, nose and ears.

Impact on Medical Staff
Doctors and nurses work incredibly long and grueling hours to try to combat the crippling effects of the pandemic and they have to be in this uniform their whole shift so as not to get infected themselves. One problem that has come to light is that medical staff are getting facial bruises due to ill-fitting safety goggles, this causes them pain and discomfort while working.

Customised safety goggles
We want to be part of the solution: Packhunt has developed a solution based on a parametric model that utilises the data from facial scans so any safety goggles can be fit to different facial dimensions with maximum comfort. Once the digital 3D model is complete, it can be sent to a 3D printer to be turned into a physical product. Having customised safety goggles would help alleviate the discomfort felt by healthcare workers while they are on shift, allowing them to focus their attention on treating patients.
